An Inspector Calls – Live and Online
Ideally suited for Years 10 or 11
Duration: 60 – 75 minute workshop
Audience number: 1 year group
This characteristically innovative and interactive online workshop will engage students fully with Priestley’s characters, themes and context while reinforcing key quotations and is ideal for consolidation of the text and exam preparation. Students will see key scenes from the play, focusing on the personal moments of crisis for the individual members of the Birling family and Gerald Croft, brought vividly to life in professionally filmed extracts. The company’s experienced actors/facilitators will also actively engage your students fully in the workshop, using the chat function to challenge them and engage them in discussion on key learning points. Led by the character of the Inspector and members of the Box Clever team, the students will be encouraged to explore the ways in which Priestley expertly utilises a range of dramatic techniques to highlight key themes, create characters and fully engage his audience.
For sales to schools only.
Great questions probing the students about context and how it might relate today. All very engaging and professional.

I enjoyed it when the actors talked directly to the audience and involved them because it helps us to understand the play and have a direct relationship with it.

It was really useful to explore the ideas and responsibilities of the characters and to share opinions with other people. It was awesome and really helpful to me and my learning.
