While our Shakespeare team gears up for five more performances of both Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet in the coming week, travelling to schools in London, Surrey and Sussex, the actors who have been responsible for exploring An Inspector Calls with students can take a well-earned rest. In the last three weeks, Evie Tyler, Joel Nash, Jack Blakey and Darrel Bailey have given 27 workshops in 14 schools from the South East to the South West and from London to the West Midlands.  Having encountered dramatic interpretations of the characters, a total of 1,646 students have engaged in often passionately debated discussions of the key issues in the play, especially that of personal responsibility for others. We’d like to thank them all for their contributions and for making the workshops so successful.

“This was an excellent interpretation of the text and it thoroughly engaged the students, offering them a chance to revise key characters, themes and ideas. As ever, Box Clever never fail to impress.”
