We had a great post-show report from one of our wonderful schools – Chichester High School. Read what they thought below!

The ever popular and totally enthralling Box Clever Theatre Company came into Chichester High School for the second time this year to present two workshops.

Firstly Year 8 girls and boys were treated to ‘Romeo and Juliet’; weaving modern language, dress and music with Shakespeare’s classic text, the production encouraged students to examine and challenge their personal understanding of the play. Romeo (Cory Stuckey) and Juliet (Evie Taylor) performed their tragic love story with passion, whilst the Narrator, (Maria Simmonds) questioned their decisions, helping students interrogate the text and the characters, involving the audience at every opportunity.

This was followed by an ‘Introduction to Shakespeare’ for Year 7 students which involved a journey through many of the Bard’s works and an exploration of their enduring appeal.

Much fun was had by all!
