“The music, energy and enthusiasm, combined with an important message really helps individual children to grasp the concept. Each child is unique and will have taken something important from this performance that will change their behaviours!”

“The children took in everything so much more because they were enjoying themselves.  It was a fantastic performance! The children were engaged throughout and it sent important reminders to them e.g. about cycle helmets etc.”

KS2 Leader

St James C of E Primary School

I believe that the performance opened my eyes and the eyes of everyone else in the room.  It really helped me understand how dangerous unsafe driving can really be.”

Space Requirements

Getting There – What size space do I need?

Ideally a main school assembly hall, theatre or drama hall. We prefer not to perform in a school gym or sports hall owing to the potentially poor acoustics. We need at least 3m height clearance over the performance space.

We need a performance space that is at least 6m x 6m with two power points available.

The play can be performed on 3 sides or end on.

We require access to the space 90 minutes before and 60 minutes after the performance in order to set up and take down equipment.

The performance is directed and designed to be performed in the round with students seated on 4 sides of the performance space, though we can accommodate other layouts if necessary.

The Play - Live stage performance

Ideally suited for Years 6 & 7

Performance length: 50 minutes
Audience number: approximately 120
Venue: ideally on the flat in a school hall with the audience on three sides

Getting There, a highly entertaining play delivered with enthusiasm and energy, focuses on encouraging young people to take responsibility for their personal safety on their way to school, whether on foot, bicycle or public transport, by allowing them to empathise with recognisable characters and to become fully engaged in the action.
