Box in LOV 3

After two successful years of touring in Lincolnshire, Box in LOV will return in the academic year 2014-15. The innovative touring project aims to give young people more opportunities to see theatre and be involved in the creative process.  Our third phase of the project will introduce both Dickens and Shakespeare to young people in Lincolnshire.

Autumn 2014

Script development and tour of A Christmas Carol

We will invite young people to be part of the script development of our new adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Young people will have access to the company in residence at the Riverhead Theatre in Louth. The finished production will tour to schools in Lincolnshire, culminating in performances at the Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough and at the Riverhead Theatre in Louth.

Spring 2015 tour – The Shakespeare Tour

Rehearsals in residence for Boxed Romeo & Juliet.

Students will be invited to attend rehearsals to experience the work of our director, actors and technicians at first hand. Rehearsals will take place at the Drill Hall in Lincoln.

Tour of Boxed Romeo & Juliet and the Introduction to Shakespeare

Box Clever will tour to secondary schools in Lincolnshire, an exciting revision of Introduction to Shakespeare paired with an dynamic, freshly staged and directed version of our Boxed Romeo & Juliet.

Half Term Theatre making

Students will be given the opportunity to work with the creative team from Box Clever during the February half term to create a ‘scratch’ performance piece that will be previewed at the Riverhead Studio in Louth.
