There was great excitement at Wigan Town Hall and also at the Louth Playgoers’ Riverhead Theatre this week as the first stage of the Frankenstein Project came to a climax with the Gatherings. After separate workshops in their own schools, students from Wigan St Helens and Lincolnshire met each other for the first time at their local venue to watch a performance of the scenes on which they had been working and to share their ideas and thoughts about the dramatisation of Mary Shelley’s novel. With an approval rating of 97% for the project from the students, we’re really looking forward to the final Gathering in Kent this coming week and then Stage Two next year.
“A fantastic project with consistently challenging and engaging activities. Very inspirational and rewarding. Far exceeded my expectations!”
