Our teams have another action-packed week coming up. The Shakespeare tour of Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet now moves to schools in Buckinghamshire, Cheshire, the Wirral, Derbyshire, Leeds and finally Barnsley. This season’s productions are being tremendously well received by their young audiences with 99% of students and 100% of teachers both enjoying the performances and valuing them as worthwhile experiences.
We are also very busy in Lincolnshire this week with the next stage of both the Scunthorpe and the Frankenstein Projects taking place in schools in the county. In the former the students will be exploring their favourite excerpt from Romeo and Juliet, highlighting how Shakespeare uses language to paint pictures, before being inspired to use the same devices to produce their own piece of creative writing. In the latter, Michael Wicherek starts the third round of visits to the project schools in preparation for the rehearsed reading of the brand-new play in March.
