We are excited to announce our creative team for 2018/19.

Alan Magor


Alan Magor Actor Alan is a professional actor who’s had an eclectic career on stage. Since graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – Acting, Alan’s theatre credits include: The Mousetrap (UK Tour), The Hundred Years War (UK Tour), Gothrella (New Diorama), Murder Weapon, Fatal Encounter, Shadow of the Ghost, The Ghost Train (Windsor Theatre Royal & Nottingham Theatre Royal), A Life in The Theatre (Chesterfield Pomegranate & Middlesbrough Theatre) and Unwrapped Festival (Birmingham Rep). Alan has worked with Box Clever since 2010 on plays, workshops, Research & Development sessions and as an Assistant Director on various projects. Alan also works as a Visiting Lecturer at Newman University, an Audition Panellist at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – Acting, and as a professional director on theatre and musical theatre projects.
Alan will be taking part in Bespoke Workshops


Emma Butcher


Emma Butcher ActorEmma trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and since graduating, she has played a wide variety of roles, from Lady Macbeth to a Pantomime Dame and every female role in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (and some of the male ones as well!) She has toured in Germany and Northern Ireland, as well as most of England and says she “just can’t get enough of the open road”. Emma has been involved in many previous Box Clever projects and is pleased to be able to continue to bring lively theatre to young people up and down the country with Car Story.
Emma will be leading and taking part in Bespoke Workshops


Jack Blakey


Jack Blakey is very excited to be joining Box Clever for his professional debut. He is a recently graduated Actor Musician from Rose Bruford College, where he appeared as Medviedenko in The Seagull, and was Musical Director of the musical Island Song in his final year.

Jack will be appearing in Feet First


Joel Nash


Joel is excited to be making his professional debut with Box Clever. He recently graduated from the Actor Musicianship course at Rose Bruford College. Credits while in training include, John Hinckley Jr. (Assassins) Harry (Wondertown) Roman (Children of the Sun) Lewis/Leon/Danny (Escapists) Ferdinand (The Tempest), Kozanka, (The Plebeians Rehearse the Uprising) and Vershinin (Three Sisters)

As well as acting, Joel is an avid musician and writer who works as an Associate Artist for The Bohemians Theatre Company. The company recently staged a production of Pardoned at The Other Palace which Joel co-wrote and directed.

Joel will be appearing in The Passenger


Kitty Winter


Kitty Winter DirectorKitty is a director, choreographer and movement director. She trained at Laban and on the movement MA at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her recent work has included productions for Derby Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, Pentabus, New Perspectives, Tamasha and Kali Theatre, comedy and cabaret shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and The Kite Runner in the West End and on national tour. For her own company WinterWalker, Kitty has recently directed and produced The Nutcracker and the Mouse King (Watermans Arts Centre/ Déda/Lincoln Drill Hall) and Three Keepers (UK tour).
Kitty will be directing Feet First


Lateshia Howell


Lateshia is very excited to be making her professional debut playing Sami in Box Clever Theatre’s ‘The Passenger’. She is a recent BA Acting graduate from The Guildford School of Acting. Her credits include Mary Brenham in Our Country’s Good, Bawd/Lychorida in Pericles and Jane/Lady in Distress in The Women. She has also appeared in the 2017 Iconoclast advert for Sainsbury’s as Olivia.

Lateshia will be appearing in The Hate Play


Lidia Crisafulli


Lidia is a London based freelance photographer.

Born in Catania in 1991, she discovered photography at the age of fourteen, when she began to express herself through the lenses of her first camera, a simple reflex. After secondary school, she moved to Milan to join the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia. Here she had an opportunity to deepen her knowledge of photography. Then, inspired by a passion for theatre, she entered the world of show business (naturally, behind the lens) at the Accademia Teatroalla Scala in Milan, photographing actors, musicians, shows and concerts. Lidia collaborates with many magazines, agencies and theatre companies.  Website: http://www.lidiacrisafulli.com

Michael Holden


Michael is a recent graduate of LIPA and joins the team after completing his first year out of drama school. His most recent theatre credits include the roles of Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest and Orestes in Electra, as well as Don John/Verges (Much Ado About Nothing), Matt (Celebration) and Mark Antony (Julius Caesar) in training.

Michael will be appearing in Belt Up, The Hate Play, Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet


Miles Jovian 


Miles’ passion for the stage developed at a very early age: as a child he joined theatre groups such as Stage Coach and found that his inspiration to achieve came from watching and being involved in theatre and performances. As well as this Miles is a gigging musician who has performed across many parts of the UK in various pubs, clubs and venues. In 2014 he accepted his place at East15 Drama School in London to pursue his acting career, graduating with a 1st in BA Acting and Contemporary theatre in June 2017. Since graduating Miles has completed his 3rd feature before joining Box Clever on their exciting Shakespeare tour.

Miles will be appearing in The Hate PlayRomeo & Juliet and Macbeth


Nasa Ohalete


Nasa  trained at Italia Conti and The Actors Temple. She made her theatrical debut working with Lazarus Theatre in the play Oedipus in which she played a soldier. Her credits include: Sweet Taboo (Talawa Theatre), Great Expectations (Charles Dickens Company), and  Candy (Met Film). She has also played Joy in The Blind Truth at the Lyric Hammersmith theatre.

Nasa will be appearing in Belt Up


Nathaniel McCloskey


Nathaniel is a recent graduate from the Rose Bruford College BA Acting course, where he began training in 2015. Roles while training include Caliban in The Tempest and Nazar in Children of the Sun. He is thrilled to be joining Box Clever in his professional debut on a national and London tour to schools and venues. With a black belt 2nd Dan in karate, and a love of stage combat, armed and unarmed, Nathaniel looks forward to bringing every aspect of his training to these shows.

Pid’or Tampa


Pid’or trained part-time at Sylvia Young Theatre School before going on to complete a B.A. at Middlesex University in Drama and Theatre studies. She has since been working professionally as an actress, singer and Drama teacher. Her acting work has seen her on stage in experimental theatre, classical ,TiE as well as musicals. During her studies and in the years to follow she centred her professional work around youth arts facilitation; working for Westminster Youth service, DreamArts, and The Roundhouse Theatre. With a passion for theatre and educating young people, her portfolio of work includes TiE, devising original theatre, writing and staging new musicals and workshop facilitation.

Rhiannon Skerritt


Rhiannon is a recent graduate from the BA Acting and Stage Combat course at East 15 Acting School. Since graduating She has worked as an actress across theatre and film and is also a professional roller derby skater. Recent credits include Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Holly in Mike Bartlett’s 13 and performing in, as well as being the roller skate captain for, the immersive outdoor experience Lanterns with Wild Rumpus Theatre Company. She is excited to be joining Box Clever for their 2018/2019 season.

Rhiannon will be appearing in The Hate Play, Mark and the Marked, Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth


Richard James-Neale

Assistant Director

Richard is a director, movement director and actor who trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London. He is a practitioner for Frantic Assembly, teaching their devising methods to emerging theatre makers all over the UK and internationally. His work as a movement and fight director also includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Faction) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Tooting Arts Club). As an actor, he first worked with Box Clever back in 2008, playing Prospero in their UK tour of The Tempest. His other theatre credits include The National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Frantic Assembly, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Young Vic, Old Vic and many others.

Richard will be working as Assistant Director on Belt Up


Sorcha Corcoran


Sorcha has worked nationally and internationally as set, costume and events designer. Her skills and experience cover many different areas including opera, fringe theatre, musicals, installations and live events. Recent credits include Gutted (The Marlowe Theatre) Strangers on a Train, The Odd Couple, The Deep Blue Sea (Frinton Summer Theatre) Edward II (The Greenwich Theatre), The Merchant of Venice (Leicester Square Theatre), Idomeneo, L’Orfeo, Rigoletto (Opéra de Baugé), Sorry (Kings Head Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe 2018)

Sorcha is passionate about finding the individuality, originality, and character of each new project. She aims to work collaboratively and thus inspire the most evocative design in the context of the piece.

Sorcha will be working as Costume Designer on The Passenger, The Hate Play, The Merchant, Mark and the Marked, Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth


Tahlia Norrish


Tahlia is a recent graduate from Rose Bruford College (BA Acting) and The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (Certificate Acting & Musical Theatre). A native Aussie now calling London her adoptive home, Tahlia has worked professionally on stage and screen since she was 15, but is undeniably excited about her first UK tour and Box Clever debut.

Tahlia will be appearing in The Passenger


Wayne Walker-Allen

Composer, Musician, Sound Designer

Wayne has been creating music professionally for over twenty years. He has created music for and performed in many pieces of contemporary dance, mainstream theatre and theatre for young audiences, including work for Nottingham Playhouse, Theatre Hullabaloo, Richard Alston Dance Company and Darren Ellis Dance. His work has been performed at The Royal Opera House; Sadler’s Wells; The Robin Howard Theatre; Nottingham Playhouse; Birmingham Rep; Salisbury Playhouse; St Paul’s Cathedral; Artscape Wychwood Barns in Toronto, Canada and Karlovac International Dance Festival in Croatia. He is also Co-Artistic Director of WinterWalker, a physical theatre company making work for children and families.

Wayne will be working as Musical Director on Feet First
