MARK AND THE MARKED IN LINCOLN
Rehearsals in Residence in local schools form a very important part of our commitment to the students of Lincolnshire.
Dynamic start to 2025
No sooner were the New Year festivities over and the routine of school life re-established than our vibrant and thrilling production of Macbeth hit the road, starting off in our home base of the East Midlands before heading south to London.
MADE REGIONALLY, TOURING NATIONALLY
UP NEXT
THE HATE PLAY
Spring 2026 & 2027
A gripping and interactive performance that confronts bullying, hate crime and peer pressure head-on. While laying bare the emotional toll and social fallout faced by young people when their friendships come under pressure, it also challenges its student audiences to think carefully about their own community and behaviour and what they can do to ensure the safety, both emotional and physical of all its members.
MACBETH
Spring 2026 | Autumn 2026-Spring 2027
The darkness and danger of Shakespeare’s vision of early medieval Scotland are brought vividly and terrifyingly to life as Macbeth’s slaughter of Duncan sets him on the path to destruction. Fight scenes and murders are intense, music and lighting heighten both the mood and emotional torment, while the combination of faithfulness to Shakespeare’s text combining with contemporary dialogue and audience interaction adds clarity and injects excitement.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Autumn 2026-Spring 2027
Our version of Dickens’ Ghost Story of Christmas blends lively action, music, audience participation and text accuracy. As Scrooge, hard and sharp as flint, is made to face his past, present and potential future by three contrasting supernatural powers, his long-suppressed laughter and goodness surface to thaw the ice in his heart.
ROMEO AND JULIET
Autumn 2026-Spring 2027
This fast-paced adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece draws the audience quickly into the heat, sound and dangers of Medieval Verona, where love ignites, and violence and hate simmer. The lovers are brought to vivid life while a Narrator brings to the stage the characters who surround them and help to determine their inescapable fate. Truly there never was a story of more woe.
UP LATER
A bold, physical and visual performance that pulls children into the centre of a bullying scenario, something that could unfold within their own school. unfolding within their own school community. Told entirely without words, it shows how bullying and hate can go unnoticed, and invites the audience to play an active role in in caring for both their friends and everyone in their community.
For Local Authorities.
Energetic and entertaining, this play follows a safety conscious, overbearing father and his son, who is desperate for independence. As the pair navigate the journey to school, young audiences are drawn into the action and encouraged to think carefully about their own choices, whether walking, cycling or taking the bus so that they will always be safe.
