Samater Ahmed

Actor

 

Graduating from Plymouth Marjon University, with a BA (Hons) in Acting. Samater has been involved in a variety of productions across his university and professional career. With touring productions that have taken him from Plymouth to London and Greece, Samater has performed in a multitude of shows with the Actors Wheel. From a regional tour as Edmund in King Lear, The Boy in Children of the Birds tour to Greece and Satan in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot . Samater has been involved in multiple shows and films with Beyond Face, a community interested company in Plymouth, working to represent Black and minority ethnics in art.

Premi Tamang

Actor

 

Premi trained at The Wheel Actor Company and made her professional stage debut in A Grimm Christmas at the Barbican Theatre.
Recent performances include, Mark Anthony in Julius Caesar (toured regionally), Stags and Hens, Dead White Males and Love and Information.

Premi will be taking part in Macbeth

Josh Tucker

Actor

 

Josh is an actor and a musician who trained at East 15 Acting School and since graduating has been in a variety of projects. He performed in the UK tour of Drip by Tom Wells, which is a one man musical comedy, as well as performing in an immersive, choose your own adventure show called Luncheons and Flagons with Blue Elephant Theatre. He has also been a performer, musician, director and producer at Edinburgh Fringe two years running and is the co-founder of award winning theatre company Paper Mug Theatre.

Aryana Ramkhalawon

Actor

 

After graduating from the Guildford School of Acting with a BA (Hons), Aryana has pursued a very active and lively career which has taken her the length and breadth of the country and abroad in a variety of roles. She has performed on an International tour of The Secret Garden with the Edinburgh Festival Theatre and at Wales Millennium Centre in Half ‘n’ Half with Tinderbox Theatre. Aryana has also played a variety of parts for Chester Repertory Theatre including Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing and Miranda in The Tempest before returning to London as Ayesha in The Funeral Director at Southwark Theatre.

Aryana will be taking part in Bespoke Workshops

 

Cory Stuckey

Actor

 

Since Cory’s graduation from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, his career has involved scratch nights for new writing, short films and touring theatre with the recent addition of a Matthew Vaughn/MARV Productions and 20th Century Fox feature film. As well as a returning Box Clever favourite, playing parts as diverse as Romeo, Macbeth, and Scrooge as well as Gary in The Passenger. Cory has also performed with Analogue Theatre Company, Fine Mess Theatre and Hurricane Theatre. He will be seen in The King’s Man.

Darrel Bailey

Actor

 

Born and raised in Birmingham, Darrel studied Theatre and Professional Practice at Coventry University before moving to London to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. He has been a part of many varying productions including an open-air tour of London as Angelo in The Comedy of Errors for Principal Theatre.  A passionate Shakespeare enthusiast, Darrel has also played the title roles in Othello and Macbeth, Claudio in Much Ado about Nothing and Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet, all for the Young Shakespeare Company.  Darrel is one of our most experienced and talented workshop facilitators whom we are delighted to welcome back.

Emma Butcher

Actor/Facilitator

Emma Butcher Actor

 

Emma trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and since graduating, she has played a wide variety of roles, from Lady Macbeth to a Pantomime Dame and every female role in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (and some of the male ones as well!) She has toured in Germany and Northern Ireland, as well as most of England and says she “just can’t get enough of the open road”. Emma has been involved in many previous Box Clever projects and is pleased to be able to continue to bring lively theatre to young people up and down the country with Car Story.

Jack Blakey

Actor

 

Jack Blakey is very excited to be joining Box Clever for his professional debut. He is a recently graduated Actor Musician from Rose Bruford College, where he appeared as Medviedenko in The Seagull, and was Musical Director of the musical Island Song in his final year.

Jack will be appearing in An Inspector Calls & The Jekyll & Hyde Project


 

Joel Nash

Actor

 

Joel made his professional debut with Box Clever after graduating from the Actor Musicianship course at Rose Bruford College. Credits while in training include, John Hinckley Jr.  Assassins, Harry Wondertown, Roman Children of the Sun, Lewis/Leon/Danny Escapists, Ferdinand The Tempest, Kozanka, The Plebeians Rehearse the Uprising, and Vershinin Three Sisters. Joel has toured with Box Clever in Getting There, Sweet, A Christmas Carol and Romeo & Juliet

As well as acting, Joel is an avid musician and writer who works as an Associate Artist for The Bohemians Theatre Company. The company recently staged a production of Pardoned at The Other Palace which Joel co-wrote and directed.

Lucy Wordsworth

Lucy Wordsworth Headshot

 

Lucy is an alumnus of the Acting and Stage Combat course at East 15 Acting School, and is a versatile and highly physical performer. Since graduating in 2018, she has worked on various projects in Theatre, Short Films, and as a fight performer in Music Videos for artists including Swim Deep and Carnage. Lucy has recently worked with Boost Drinks on their Choose Now campaign, and has just finished reprising her roles as Lady Penelope and Maid Nora with Shoddy Theatre for The New Normal Festival. Lucy is over the moon to be working with Box Clever.

Kimberley Sykes

Director

 

Kimberley graduated with a BA Hons in Theatre Directing from Rose Bruford College after which she trained on the National Theatre Studio Directors Course since which she has been in much demand for her directorial skills. Early productions for Southwark Play House and Tricycle Theatre led her to the RSC as Resident Assistant Director on Much Ado About Nothing. From there she worked with The Young Vic, the National Theatre and Donmar Warehouse, before returning to the RSC as Associate Director on A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Director on Dido, Queen of Carthage, As you like it and The Whip.

Lidia Crisafulli

Photographer

 

Lidia is a London based freelance photographer.

Born in Catania in 1991, she discovered photography at the age of fourteen, when she began to express herself through the lenses of her first camera, a simple reflex. After secondary school, she moved to Milan to join the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia. Here she had an opportunity to deepen her knowledge of photography. Then, inspired by a passion for theatre, she entered the world of show business (naturally, behind the lens) at the Accademia Teatroalla Scala in Milan, photographing actors, musicians, shows and concerts. Marc Zayat

Actor

 

Marc’s training included a two-year Musical Theatre course at the BRIT School for Performing Arts followed by a Post Graduate Acting Degree at the Arts Educational School in London. He is a highly creative individual with a love of Shakespeare who also enjoys exploring contemporary texts along with working in both stage and screen. Marc is also Co-Founder and Executive Director of Ethereal Theatre Company which performs regularly at the Edinburgh Festival.

Nathaniel McCloskey

Actor

 

Nathaniel is a recent graduate from the Rose Bruford College BA Acting course, where he began training in 2015. Roles while training include Caliban in The Tempest and Nazar in Children of the Sun. He is thrilled to be joining Box Clever in his professional debut on a national and London tour to schools and venues. With a black belt 2nd Dan in karate, and a love of stage combat, armed and unarmed, Nathaniel looks forward to bringing every aspect of his training to these shows.

Rhian Lynch

Rhian Lynch

 

Rhian is delighted to be joining Box Clever for her professional debut. Rhian trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and since graduating her credits include; Carol in 42 Balloons (The Other Palace); Wendla in Spring Awakening (Transfer Productions), Ensemble in Vibez (BEAM Festival), Choir in Michael Ball and Alfie Boy: Together Again (Live Nation), Choir in Magic at the Musicals (Royal Albert Hall).

Sorcha Corcoran

Designer

 

Sorcha has worked nationally and internationally as set, costume and events designer. Her skills and experience cover many different areas including opera, fringe theatre, musicals, installations and live events. Recent credits include Gutted (The Marlowe Theatre) Strangers on a Train, The Odd Couple, The Deep Blue Sea (Frinton Summer Theatre) Edward II (The Greenwich Theatre), The Merchant of Venice (Leicester Square Theatre), Idomeneo, L’Orfeo, Rigoletto (Opéra de Baugé), Sorry (Kings Head Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe 2018)

Sorcha is passionate about finding the individuality, originality, and character of each new project. She aims to work collaboratively and thus inspire the most evocative design in the context of the piece.

Sorcha will be working as Costume Designer on The Passenger, The Hate Play, The Merchant, Mark and the Marked, Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth
